Almost 1000 sailors, distributed over classes like Star, Yngling, Tornado, Finn, RSX, Laser and 49er.
During the first days I was out on the Star class course where Hamish Pepper and Robert Scheidt delivered great duels’.
After one day on the Laser course and 1 day in the bed with a cold we got to the medal race day.
The top 10 classified boat will sail one final deciding race in front of the spectators. Unfortunately we where 1-2 miles away from the shore, so no spectators.
The concept of direct judging works great and the same principle could be used also by other events.
During the days out on the Star course I had the chance to shoot a few pictures, the one from Giuglio Gatti approaching the finishing line is my favorite.
