The Symbolism of the Mountains
There are places that are more than just landscapes. They are memories, and stories the mountains themselves have to tell.
The mountains of the Engadin / Graubünden are among those places. For many years, they have been more than just a subject for me – they are part of my soul. In their majesty and stillness, there is a power that fills me with awe and humility.
The glaciers, the snow-covered peaks, their raw force – when photographing these mountains, I try to capture the energy that goes far beyond what is visible. It’s about those rare moments when the light merges with the magic of the moment and draws the viewer into another world. Their power is waiting to be discovered.
A Touch of Pride: Collaboration with GKB
My images are an expression of my deep passion for the mountains, captured over the years through the lens of my camera.
When the advertising agency Stilecht discovered these photographs, they saw that they aligned perfectly with the visual language and corporate identity of the Graubündner Kantonalbank (GKB).
It is a true honor for me that my photographs are now part of GKB’s 2024 Annual Report.
Seeing my mountain images in this context gives them a new dimension. It’s a sign of appreciation for the strength and quiet yet overwhelming presence of this alpine landscape – a presence that lives on in both my photography and in the identity of GKB.
Clarity and Perspective in Nature
The beauty of these nature photographs lies not only in their detail. They invite us to experience stillness, to feel the clarity that is so often missing in our hectic world.
